Garden construction

At the moment the weather is very bad, which unfortunately causes some delays in the garden work. That means there is still a lot of "clutter" in front of the gallery. I am still busy building an insect-friendly wall. Last week I created a wadi in the side garden and disconnected the downpipe from the sewer. Last Saturday it was therefore used to the maximum. More than 60 mm of rain fell, which turned my wadi garden into a giant swimming pool. Fortunately, yesterday the water level had dropped far enough for me to plant my two apple trees. The new additions are a Rode Boskoop apple and a Jonagold, both fitted with 3-year-old mistletoe grafts. It will still be a few years before these can be pruned. And next week we can pick up the trees in Scharendijke that we received through "plan Boom", so we can continue with the planting.
