In 3 weeks it's time again for the annual June exhibition. At the moment the weather is very warm and sunny, and I'm curious how it will be in 3 weeks. Meanwhile I have been working very hard on new artworks behind the easel. My mother passed away last January, and all my work this year is dedicated to her. She was very creative and had a passion for wool, dyeing it, but also spinning and weaving. Because of her poor eyesight she hadn't been able to do this for years. So there was still a lot of wool left in the cupboards. I started working with it, actually already last year, with the Zeeland purchase of blue sheep's wool. But this year I started felting projects using the same blue wool combined with yak wool that was also still in the cupboards. I am very satisfied with the results myself. For me it was part of a grieving process that is still ongoing, but certainly a very beautiful addition. I hope to show you this artwork, which is very valuable to me, during the June exhibition. So I hope to see you then. Love, Mirjam
