Ena was born in Puerto Rico and completed an art education there. She has lived and worked in Brouwershaven for 30 years now.

Her style is spontaneous and intuitive. The themes of her work are traditional and folkloristic in nature and have a religious undertone that comes from her Puerto Rican culture. They are dream worlds of memories, thoughts, play, the soul, humanity and nature, inspired by the traditions and folk art of Puerto Rico. She uses a fairly unique method, namely ink on silk.
